I'm curious why they didn't support any of the evil races (Orcs, Goblins, Uruk-hai, Easterlings, Haradrim, etc). The selection looks rather limited right now, at only 4 races and of which are "good."

Evil races are not in PvE world, only in PVP because playing an Uruk-hai in the Shire would violate the lore. You can play as an Orc/spider/warg, etc when you reach level 10, but only in the PVP zone.

Hmm, their FAQ doesn't state anything about playing evil races at all.

        "Can we play evil races?
For many reasons, we have concluded that alignment would not be appropriate to the world of LOTRO at launch. Your choices when creating a character are restricted to the races of the Free Peoples of Middle-earth: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Hobbits. The themes of this world center more around different races banding together against a common evil."

Where did you get this info? I'm curious, as I would love to play as an Orc in Mordor.

Don't worry, the game isn't worthwhile to begin with, unless you want a WoW clone. I am not trying to troll here, but its really not =( In addition it takes Tolkien's lore and abuses it in dirty dirty ways. Its to bad that the original dev team didn't get to finish there crack at it like 5 years ago, its a pity because *that* version sounded worth playing.
