Evening Reading

Bank error in my favor! I actually got a notice in the mail today stating exactly that. Fabulous. It made me giggle.

Lastly, sure am glad I resisted temptation on upgrading my desktop to Vista while I watch these constant driver updates from NVidia come out. I'm happy fussing around with it on a laptop. Oh and the DVD authoring tool on Vista is great for quickies. Much love.

this game is nuts, especially when you hit that second agility level, you start jumping around like you're spiderman

speaking of which, somebody should take the crackdown engine and make a batman game. call it "Gotham" and put in slightly more story.

you could even keep the same flow of the game - there's some mastermind (probably the joker) up to something and you have to take out his lieutenants (penguin, clayface, twoface, riddler, etc) and generally fight crime in the city

you'd probably need a slightly larger set of weapons (batarangs, smoke grenades, etc) and you could even have alfred (or omac?) feeding you information as you around the city

that replay stuff is nonsense, but yeah, you could be out on patrol and you could stop mugging or bank robberies or purse snatchings or whatever

I totally want to see Batman yank some dude out of his pickup truck and then drives the pickup through town.

Isn't that what Superman Returns basically was? Only, that wasn't a good game.

Why stop at Batman, chuck in Spiderman, Superman, any other hero you can think of... then just set up a random city of crime and villanry with a few hot damsels in distress, voila!

With agility maxed in the demo, I could jump from the roof of one building to the roof of another building across a wide street. So awesome.

Crackdown menz who are far into the game: Does it get harder? Like, a lot harder? I just did the first mission and it was stupid easy, but I'm hoping it's just because I'm in the tutorial part of the game. If not, I should increase the difficulty :(

the last boss i did gave me a 20% chance of success, and i didnt have a single problem. the bosses seem too easy, its so simple to just run/jump past everyone and take the boss out with a few nades and shotgun blasts.

turn up the difficulty, it defaults to 'toughest' which translates to 'Easy'

The first gang is easy. The Volks is a nice step up. The last one can be pretty tough. Especially if you do the leaders out of order.
