Spent a few minutes perusing the forums on the games web site and discovered that this game has no magic at all. Now I'm actually interested in it.
If I never play another "elves and orcs and dwarves. oh my" game again it will be too soon. I used to like "fantasy" themed games but now I'm blind to their very existence unless one of my good friends raves about one and has very specific examples to support his or her raving.
The screen shots look nice as well.-
I was able to play it for a few minutes at a lan party a few months ago. Seems to be a pretty cool game, and it is taking a fresh spin on MMO's. All they had available was character creation and instanced ship battles against AI.
Watched two people coordinate a raid on a large AI controlled ship after just a few minutes. No big learning curve in the game, they have a large focus on just making the game fun.
