okay, I haven't played in a while, but since when is the equipment menu now 6 instead of 8??? I've been playing CS for about 6 years and that is just really messing me up since I just press the buttons to buy crap...

valve didn't learn the last 2-3 times they fucked with the buy menu so they decided to fuck with it again.

they also removed ammo and destroyed the in game economy by being oblivious to the fact that many servers give players $16K every round, so $8K deagles are not really a problem.

i love valve, but shit like this, and constantly fucking up my favorites list and crosshairs, really drive me insane.

probably because managing ammo clip prices in the economy would have been challenging or undesirable.

the unfortunate part is ammo management was another way that "smart" players kept an edge on "normal" players - knowing to only buy one or two clips here and there adds up, and soon you can afford a rifle and armor in what might have been a save round.

instead that has shifted to the economy, which, even if it worked, is far too complex to be enjoyable. to really play the game to any sensible advantage you have to study the current week's prices and know what the actual bargains are. it also disrupts anyone who has a set buying pattern which is basically everyone who has played CS for any measurable amount of time.

by buying pattern, i mean buying specific sets of weapons/armor/accessories based on how much cash you have and what situation you are going into, not the keystrokes to navigate the buy menus

The $25K deagles might be a problem though.

I apologize for that blanket generalization. My point is, if they hadn't continuously switched it up over time, would you still be playing it? Really?

Damnit, why do people still play baseball/football/hockey/basketball. They never change the rules? Don't they get tired of it?
