I'm thinking of picking this up. Is there a popular server that people on here are playing on? I recall a slight uptick of interest on here a couple of months ago.

I haven't played it since PVP got added so not sure how it's doing right now. I dropped it because I wasn't interested in any MMOs and I'm not currently playing any. In my opinion though it's better than WoW.

it runs well on my system these days with the quality level set pretty high.

and runs acceptably on my gf's system

EQ2 is a well made fantasy game. I've played it nearly every day for an hour or two for almost the entire two years of it's run and I enjoy it more now than I have in the past.
If you buy the newest expansion you get the original game and the other expansions (as far as I've read) so it's a good time to give it a try.
