Gothic 3 Demo Plans

JoWood has announced that a Gothic 3 demo is being released on Friday. It will feature an early part of the game. For Europeans a version 1.09 patch is available.

did it sell bad or what is the purpose on demos after the full game is out ?

  If I am correct, which I rarely am, it isn't out in America yet. So the demo would get the Americans interested in playing it.

  Even if it's out I'm sure they get a bunch of sales out of demos, especially since there should be fairly little work to get one together. A lot of people won't buy unless they get to try and there's also those who didn't think they'd like it but are willing to try a demo. :)
