There's a Jade Empire Q&A on Strategy Game Informer this morning, asking Diarmid Clarke about the new content and features found in the PC version of this action RPG.

I'm looking forward to this. I heard Jade Empire is awesome on the XBOX.

anyway, Jade Empire is indeed awesome on the Xbox (IMO) although it has its flaws (ie. it's not a deep RPG which is why RPG fanatics used to other Bioware games dissed it for being a "dumbed-down" action RPG, combat gets repetitive and eventually easy, the loading times are awful), some of which are apparently being fixed for the PC version. I always wanted to replay it a 3rd time and will do so on the PC

I can agree with what is essentially being said here. I'm playing through it right now. About 15 hours in and it's pretty good, but it is kind of RPG-lite in comparison to say KOTOR. Events and so forth are also rather similar to KOTOR with the exception that most of the time you can only have 1 follower and they never rank up unlike both KOTOR games where you got to rank up all your followers.

Loading is a pain in the ass and combat is too easy. Rarely do NPCs put up a good fight until they vastly outnumber you and still even then it's rather easy. The key is just trying to single them out from the rest of the group then stick and move. It would have been better to be more like Prince of Persia WW or TTT or something. Instead you have essentially 2 moves per style and that's it. Repetitive.

        Good game though.
