Jade Empire Q&A
On FiringSquad this afternoon is a Jade Empire PC Q&A, asking project director Diarmid Clarke about bringing this action RPG from the Xbox to the PC.

Curious, how many people are actually interested in this? I'd figure everyone interested would have played it already on the Xbox...years ago.

indeed, although I might buy it just to play through it another time on a platform that lets me backup them savegames ;)
that's not saying I'm happy with Bioware's policy of creating Xbox (360) games and then porting them onto the PC later. I'm really looking forward to Mass Effect but something tells me I'd be more psyched if it was a PC game. What's worse, they haven't released any new info about Dragon Age in, well, ages while they keep making and announcing more console games :(-
I would disagree with you in calling it a "policy". KotOR was developed for the Xbox and the PC at the same time. There release dates were staggered, but it takes a while to deal with the PC specific issues on a game.
This is the first time that we have created a game for a console and had no original intentions to release it for the PC. But there was a lot of demand for a PC version so we decided to go ahead and do it.
So, since we have only done this once, I wouldn't really call it a policy. -
