A new Hellgate: London Q&A can be found at TotalVideoGames. Flagship's Bill Roper talks about the Ping0 system created by Flagship Studios and HanbitSoft, to be used to digitally distribute the game and patches. Meanwhile, Hellgate Guru has an area map from the game's first act.

I thought the maps were going to be randomly generated?

Similar to Diablo2, some areas have fixed maps...some areas are randomly generated.

Yeah, the actual areas that you progress through will be randomized, but the 'world area' is set. So you start off in one of the human holdouts, a sanctuary, and your missions will eventually take you to say, Charr Cross Station, and that part is set, but the actual path to reach that destination is randomized. You could be going over the surface, you may have to go through the tubes, or through something deeper underground, WWII bomb shelters, etc. And the actual twists and turns and debris and monsters etc, will all be randomzied.

It's like Diablo 2, the areas you go to are all the same, (BloodRaven's cemetary, Andariel's Lair, etc) but everything inbetween is totally random.
