You should at least partly listen to him. Understanding the Vocal Minority concept is crucial when you frequent internet boards.

While it's true that there are vocal minorities, it's also true that BF2 is f***ing buggy and that Dice/EA absolutely suck at fixing bugs, as they invest all their time and money in releasing crappy booster packs which charge like $3/map and sequels every year. The vocal minority in the case of BF2 actually has very good reasons to flame and rant.

The Vocal Minority concept is important but the many little issues and some that I consider big actually stopped me playing from playing BF2 frequently.

I agree - as messed up as BF2 was, I had fun playing it. And a lot of times corporate gets in the way of funding for continual game support. And this is coming from someone who is still a bitter about BF: Vietnam.

This guy's forgetting about the very non-vocal majority who played a BF game, decided it was crap, and then never played again and never bothered to post on the forums. For every one of his 'vocal minority' there are a bunch of 'non-vocal majorities'.

Aside from how they've handled bf2, that reply indicates that they don't really care to participate in a community of players who play their games. Rather they'd prefer to simply have a following of gamers.
