Battlefield 2142 Preview
Boomtown is the latest site with a Battlefield 2142 preview, checking out the DICE multiplayer shooter sequel which will hit stores in October.

im doubtful because it wont support widescreen, but who knows.-
Since widescreen support is one of the listed necessities to meet the "Games for Windows" standards, I'm pretty sure there is a 99.99% cgabce it won't make the list. Since they(MS) are trying to make "standards," for the PC gaming industry, I'm pretty sure that it's not a "if you meet just one of the suggested requirements, you're in." If this is the case(hopefully it will be), then it will be a refreshingly different and BENEFICIAL use of their wealth/power that will actually do more good than harm to the end user.

I kind of doubt that EA is going to get involved with MS and their "Games for Windows" scheme, maybe down the road when Vista comes out and there’s more emphasis on using the built in system performance index number system to determine if a program will run on your PC, that’s a ways off yet though.
