Cancelled NWN Premium Module Q&A

Neverwinter Vault has another Q&A on the Darkness over Daggerford module, which was to be a premium Neverwinter Night module until Atari cancelled that program. This time the entire team gets to have a say about Ossian Studios, the development team, the cancellation of the premium module program and other related topics.

So were these products cancelled because Atari couldn't afford to publish them period, or was the expected return on investment just too low?

I'd like to believe that home-grown developers could have a future in the market with regards to developing additional content.

  it has nothing to do with publishing or return on investment. these are online modules, not retail products, made by independent teams not funded by atari.

  Rumor has it that Atari was concerned that new Permium Module content published close to the NWN2 release *might* take away from sales.
