1 to 59 it is great. Then at 60 you slam into a brick wall while holding razors and chewing glass. :(

Pretty much true. Casual players get it up the ass unless their Guild is really understanding.

          Casual players don't need guilds.

Yeah, we just grind our way to 60, then stop giving Blizzard our money.

if good enough player includes being the right class and already wearing acceptable gear, certainly...

no offense but it sounds like you play with a bunch of weenies.

not weenies, but all horde raiding guilds on my server were, and prolly still are, full on hunters. Being a good player doesn't help the slightest bit if requirements to join existing raid guilds as anything but a healer include the ability to raid 7 days a week and preferrably being in tier 1 already, or at least a ton of FR gear - ofcourse it's different if you join smaller guilds, hope these fill up with decent people for the larger raids or join guild alliances so they can at least do ZG and MC. Or create your own guild and hope the organization doesn't ruin the game for you.

But that's besides the point, all I'm saying is that being a good player doesnt get you anywhere in existing raid guilds with huge waiting lists and insane requirements (and how the heck could I know hunters are gonna be one of the most played, least appreciated/needed classes when I created that guy in November 2004?). Not to mention, if you're in an aspiring guild, chances are you'll lose your healers or the tank you gear up in epics to existing raid guilds with a lot of stuff on farm status (especially if your new guild struggles at certain bosses) - so yes, if you're a good player and a healer it's relatively easy to find a spot somewhere. If you're a dedicated tank you'll find your guild. But for the gazillion of rogues and hunters, or mages and locks? Better don't get your hopes up...

it's pretty much your standard fare EQ variant MMO once you're done with levelling up - up to that point it's great, tho...
