Will we be able to obtain a physical version of the game? As well as the collector's edition and those peweter figures?

I am going to pre-order it from Future Shop here with the pre-order figurine, and then the 2 with the collector's edition. But if all that comes with the Triton pre-order then I would rather do that. But most likely not, which is the biggest boon to online distribution.

Why buy several editions of the same game?

Collector's editions (and this is no different) are typically ripoffs anywho.

Actually the Collector's Edition of Prey is a damn good deal for an extra 5 bucks for the PC version. 3 peweter figurines, an art book, on DVD in a nice tin case. I'll take it.

But it would be nice if digital distributers began to offer physical copies of the games you buy online, just make the customer pay the shipping.

Actually, that is a good deal. A very good deal. Hell, I'm not much one for getting Spec. Eds. simply for the DVD, and definitely not a friggin tin box to hold the whole thing (ala Quake 3), but if the DVD case is Tin, as well as including everything else you mentioned, that's not bad at all for the price.

I'm getting it imported. It's gonna cost me about US$90 including shipping but it'll be rare as fuck down here.

I normally would agree with you whole heartdly. But with todays PC games when on CD being 4-6 discs, one DVD makes the five bucks worth it. Espically when in CD format they come in that cheap paper case.
