Featured ShackReviews:
  • Neither of our big reviewers are here this week, but GabooN gave us his first review, one of Taito's Over G Fighters (X360).

I'm still (slowly) working on Metal Gear (MSX) as well as Backbone's Age of Empires: Age of Kings (NDS). I also picked up Game Freak's Drill Dozer (GBA), which is a lot of fun.

I'm playing it emulated on PS2 through MGS3: Subsistence.

it's good, but it's hard. It's surprising how similar it is to MGS1 though, in all respects other than graphically. Pretty much all of the stealth mechanics, weapons, details, etc., are the same. Fascinating, considering what a revolution MGS1 was considered to be.

Yeah, I can't believe how crippled the NES version was by comparison.

The developers couldn't even be bothered to add icons to your weapon and equipment. I think the music was the only thing that was better in the NES version.

The Commodore 64 version was the exact same way. :(

If you thought that was MGS was close to that, wait until you play Metal Gear 2.
