Evening Reading

So after fighting it for quite a while I finally caved in and got Battlestar Galactica on Netflix. I saw part of an episode once by accident and I wasnt impressed. Given that I dont really care for Star Trek stuff I figured I wasnt missing out. Mistake... it's pretty darn cool and the production value is shockingly good. I recommend it. Do it.

If DNF turns out even half as good as the Prey demo, take all the time you need.

Seriously, this demo has single handedly rejuvinated my hopes for DNF being awesome. If Prey can do it, so can Duke.

          :D

My 360 really needs some loving. Since Table Tennis died out I havent played shit. Tried to finish Oblivion the other night but since I havent played in so long the load times seemed 10X more painful then I remembered and I couldnt get into it.

So is the 360 demo isn't gonna support saving, right? One of the devs from human head mentioned that on the 1up-yours podcast. Something about Microsoft not allowing saves for any demos. Pretty lame on their part.

it's not especially long... and of course, the spirit world mechanic means that it'll take a really bad player to depend on savegames.

The sound of ultimate suffering is not Wesley screaming...it is the sound of a missed marketing opportunity.

I heard this sound when we ended up shipping on the first day of E3.

I heard this sound when the mech combat title I was working on several years ago missed Thanksgiving weekend.

And now I hear this sound from George.

      Fezzig, we must help him.

Shipping during E3 was maximum ultra combo fuckoff stupid :( I am hoping more people pick this up but it's thunder would've been thoroughly thrashed by E3.

You should do the MS trick and re-release Sin Eps "ultra edition" - exact same game, same Sin 1 and Sin MP but with the addon included (Wages) - then spam all the news sites to report it :(

what i dont understand is how/if they are able to lure highly talented people over there. good productive employees know what they are worth, yet the reward at 3dr seems to be the massive amount of royalties the game might generate.

however the people calling the shots over there are already rich and are under no real pressure to get the game out. it seems like they are tenative to do so because failure would ruin their cult-status. but this kind of creates a vicious circle because the less talented people you bring in, the less likely the bosses will be happy with the end product, and the more competitive industry eclipses you and makes your product look bad, the longer you delay and delay...

its almost 10 years, is the average person/game still aware of this franchise? im really worried too, because duke3d was great, and i really wanted to experience the next incarnation. but i dont know if i care anymore, theres no shortage of good fps' like there was back in the day.

Holy shit dude that looks awesome! I wasnt expecting the framerate to look that smooth, granted im watching the GS feed on low rez, one can only assume the details and textures are high.

i might get it for the 360 for the 5.1 and HD factor now

I was playing SF2 half my life ago. Where is that. But also Prey... even though I'm making it a PC purchase. Does this thing come with the Preditor? Will it be much harder to map for with the portals and grav stuff?
