  In terms of quality, community, and support...most likely yes. But they are pretty different games other than online and vehicles. Quake Wars plays like a much deeper version of assault and battlefield is, well, battlefield.

    I 100% agree with this. QW has better community support due to its roots. But in the end,I think they will be different games. QW will be a smaller more tightly knit game with a more linear path. 2142 will be massive battles that are instantly gratifying.
    
    Its the competition side where both games will be most interesting.

      I agree as well, SEASONED FPS players will not consider these games direct competitors.
