12 hours long? no more hard save system? god, they are listening to the nubs too much.

As long as this isn't a Devil May Cry --> Devil May Cry 2 scenario.....I'm ok I guess.

I actually liked the no quicksave feature of FarCry. True, some of the autosave points could have been spread a little more evenly but other than that it was fine. There should be an option to disable quicksave for those of us who want a great challenge.

I am guilty of abusing the quicksave button sometimes. Though in Oblivion having to hit the quicksave every 10 seconds is a necessity....

I'm sorry, but forcing a hard save system just sucks. If you want to super challenge, don't use it and wait for the checkpoints. Those of us who get owned in certain parts...well, I'd like to have it.

it's not a super challenge, it just teaches you to adapt and rethink the situation. I'm worried there won't be any of that if you can autosave.

I disagree -- I think it's frustrating. I wouldn't think they'd remap their entire design just because of saving -- if anything, I bet they'd make the game even more difficult if they incorporated a quick save. Ultimately, it goes back to those who want to save, can. Those who don't can ignore the feature. Including a quick save gives both sides an option. Removing the feature completely alienates (and frustrates) the other portions.

I stopped playing Far Cry because some sections just pissed me off too much.

It's my $50. Let me play how I want, not how you want me to.

IMHO quick save has always been the worst decision in FPS design because it's the best excuse not to polish difficulty. (if a FPS is very linear at least; that is 99% of FPSes)
"What do you say QA guys? this passage at the end of the level is stupidly hard? We don't give a fuck, there's quick save for a reason."
As an alternative there's also: "What do you say QA guys? You can't avoid this trap the first time around because you can't know it's here? We don't give a fuck, there's quick save for a reason."
QS are convenients at times, but they foster lazy design & polishing most of the time.

Hopefully multiplayer will add extended playtime to the game this time.
