D&D Online Adds Solo Play

2

If you want to play Turbine's Dungeons & Dragons Online but group playing is not your thing, Turbine has announced the addition of solo play to the game. Quests in the Harbor will have a new option, allowing you to go through them on your own with challenges scaled to your level.

What was the point of this being a monthly paid MMORPG then?

      options

If you don't want to play with people ... then you don't play a game where you are forced to play. The less you play a game with a monthly fee, the more likely you are to cancel your subscription.

Some people like to solo sometimes. Even in MMORPG's. I think they would have been better served if they had added PvP content, though. Players need to be able to duke it out.

From my experience in Beta the Harbor is the newbie area and very dull compared to the other zones in the game. Many players are getting bogged down there and don't see the rest of the city, which is much more open and non-linear.

Plus sometimes you do not have time to get a full group together and just want some quick action. I also wish they would add some Henchmen NPCs to help fill out critical group roles (FFXI would benefit more from this but what they hey...).
