Seagate Plans Perpendicular SCSI Drives

5

Tech Report is reporting that Seagate plans to release a Cheetah 15K.5 SCSI drive using perpendicular recording technology later this year. By going perpendicular, Seagate can up the storage space to 300gb (up from 147gb now). Seagate also claims 125MB/s sustained transfer rates for the drive. Must ..resist..posting..perpendicular link. Ah screw it.

That reminded me of the after school special cartoon that showed how Bills got made back in elementary school. A very clever marketing tool if you ask me. I'm glad you didn't resist the urge to post it.

What's more amazing, that that animation got made or that it got posted on their actual website?
