    Reading about the designer who helped do the scaling monsters made me cringe. He should be finding a new job.

      If you're talking about the last entry (Matt Ouzounian) you misread - it's talking about scaling of physical size, not difficulty scaling.

      You should be thinking about getting past level 20. The only problem with scaling the bug with kvatch. After level 35 if you not a complete god to everything in the world. Your just completely broke.

        Yeah, my experience was (not just Kvatch) that I had a lot of difficulty with monsters (not humans, but a few specific kinds of monsters) around levels 17-25) but once I spent a little money (I had tons) on some enchantments and other things, I've started to get over the problem and have slowly been moving the difficulty back towards default.

        That's one thing I have to give the game credit for - changing difficulty on the fly is cool, especially with such good granularity to the slider.

        Yes because, being hugely overpowered is the same thing as balance.
