First Post!

Good to see Bethesda being reasonable and playing with the price they'll charge for the Oblivion plugins. I have no problem paying the 150 points for that The Orrery plugin they are releasing soon.

Movie: If they were so smart, then why are they so dead?

So I wonder if Valve will ever release the TF2 that was so hyped several years ago???

I heard it's coming out one day before DNF (just to steal its thunder).

I like your use of the word "several" there.

If they ever do, it'll be a different TF2 considering their penchant for ripping the thing apart and redoing it.

Perhaps it will be TF2 that caters toward people that enjoy Myst ...

Or maybe it will a SimCity approach to TF2.

Personally, I hope for a turn based strategy game ala Heroes of Might and Magic as a nouveau approach to the franchise.

In the meantime, I'm still playing TFC and Enemy Territory Fortress...

          SimCity approach to TF2

lol, a team fortress game where you and other people just buy materials and actually build a fortress.

Yeah, those were the tendrils of code that showed up in the HL2 SDK, so the information's about a year or so old (I think).

Well, there's always Enemy Territory Fortress and a couple other similar mods for games like Doom 3 and Half-Life 2.

I really, REALLY wish ETF was more popular, instead of people sitting waiting for "something else" like that mod for Doom 3 or HL2 or whatever.

my guess is that it will be about the 8hour war pre-hl2

      I remember pre-ordering TF2 the same day I pre-ordered Grim Fandango.

      they should * G H O S T * this game and do something new and interesting. i don't think the world needs another team-based war-themed shooter.

I didn't think the world needed another FPS then Hl2 came along.

BTW, Fortress Forever (i.e. TFC for Source) has potential!

      http://fortress-forever.com/

It's being made by several long-time TFC clan players from the US and European communities. So it probably won't be wildly different, but that's a good thing. TFC is still fun today. Ah, the day I mastered bunny hopping and conc jumps...
