Raph Koster Leaves SOE

GameSpot is reporting that Sony Online Entertainment COO Raph Koster is no longer with the company. According to Sony Online, the MMORPG veteran is leaving to pursue development interests that "don't match SOE's strategic goals".

Well, considering how badly eq2 has done, not surprising. Still, it's a good game.

  EQ2 hasn't done that badly, obviously it doesn't have anywhere near the amount of subscribers that WoW has, but it's still a large amount of money being generated. I don't know anyone IRL who plays WoW, but I do have 3 friends that play EQ2, and I have played both games in the past.
