Has anyone started a Shack D&D deadpool yet?

I'm going to say one year and they will either shut it down or overhaul it completely. I figure that year is worked into the business plan and after that time, if things are going horrible they are going to drop the hammer.

I don't get the hate for this game. It isn't WoW, but it isn't trying to be. The monthly price is a little high, but this should be a fun game for people who don't want to invest as much time as most MMOs require.

I agree with you. I am disappointed by the anti-hype by the shackers who probably haven't played it, or categorize it simply as Guild Wars with a monthly fee simply because it is instanced. I'll be playing it. Hopefully a few others will be too.

Yeah, DDO gets slammed for not being WoW and then it gets slammed for being GW - which it is neither.

"DDO is just GW with a monthly fee"
Besides the "hub" concept that DDO shares with GW, they are two entirely different games. Hence, GW comparisons fall flat if you actually look deeper than world design.

"DDO sucks because it doesn't offer PvP, crafting, etc"
Sure, let's throw another WoW type game at the market and see how it competes with the juggernaut. WoW is WoW - let it be itself.

"DDO rapes the PnP D&D ruleset"
People complain that DDO destroys PnP rules.. it's partially true. PnP is a turn-based game that simulates a real-time world. DDO is a real-time game that simulates the turn-based PnP ruleset. Yin and Yang and I would still argue that DDO is D&D.
