turtle beach makes some crappy hardware... I have bought 2 headphones off them and the little amp attachment busted open after 2 weeks on one... the other more expensive one has a busted mic attachment that never stays in place... busted after a few weeks. Cheaply made products.

Let me undertand this correctly. You are saying that they make only crap products based off of headphone purchase. I wouldn't go as far as you have, but maybe say something like they make shitty headphones and mics(which they do). Soundcards are another story however. I wouldn't say they have crappy soundcards. Montego DDL is a better buy than an X-fi because of DDL. Other people do make camparable or better products however based on the same CMI chips.

I am basing it off their headphone purchases as stated. I have not used the soundcards. Its rather disappointing when you hear how great a product is, then you purchase it, and it breaks within weeks of minor use. I am paying 50$ for one set, and 80$ for the other... and they break... we are not talking like 10-15$ headsets, even those "cheap" sets are more reliable then turtle beach products... If they cannot make decent headsets like they claim... soundcards, could be potentially just as poor a product.
