Monolith Departures
Pretty big news on gaming technology front. Redwood sent word that Jason Hall has a .plan update announcing that Mike Dussalt has left Monolith to work at Valve Software. Mike was a big part of the development of LithTech. The addition of Dussalt to Valve is the 4th engine programmer pickup in recent history. They still have Brown & McTaggart formerly of Uber engine fame, Zelsnack of the impressive Prax War project that got canned, and now Dussalt responsible for much of the work on LithTech. Also, according to AVault Jay Wilson has left Cavedog to work at EA (er, I originally had this as Monolith, he was there prior to Cavedog until Amen got canned, doh)

I would like to accept this FIRST POST! on behalf of all those have helped me get to this stage in my life.
First of all without sCary and the shugashack i could not be here to accept this wonderfull award. While we all know how easy it is to get a first post on any other gaming news site (*cough* stomped *cough*), without sCary and the rest of the shack who entertain use on a daily basis noone would be here for me to post ahead of. Oh yea and thanks for those babe hunts.
Secondly for my family who over the years allow me to sit here behind a computer doing absoultely nothing with my life. While most people would consider this neglect, my parents had a vision of what i would one day achieve and it is because of them that this is possible. That and the fact the had sex and later gave birth to me !!
Thirdly, to all those other first posters out there, who keep me on my toes and force me to be ALL i can be. While few say more than \"First Post!\", it is your lack of originality that has inspired me. To those who will come after me i must give a few words of advice \"HIT REFRESH ALOT!\"
Fourth to all my fans out there who give me constant encouragement. Ok i have no fans, and most encouragement comes in the form of flames.
Thanks again for this prestigeous award and i hope to be back one day!
/me bows and walks off stage with a hot chick
