S3 Savage2000+

The guys at Savage Daily News have gotten word of a new S3 card which looks to fit the billing of the original Savage2000 card that so many people had high hopes for. Here's that original story from October of last year. Until everyone found out they dropped the mhz rating. Check out these stats they got from an uncomfirmed S3 source: (Thanks VE) They are calling it the Savage2000+ The current Savage2000 has a 125mhz core, which puts it at a claimed theoretical 500mtex fill rate. The Savage2000+ at 175 will put it at a theoretical 700mtex.

64mb 5ns SyncDram , 400mhz RAMDAC , 175mhz Clock, 150mhz Memory Clock , Full AGP 4x abilities, also AGP 2x/1x ready , S3TC, S3T&L, Direct3D, OpenGL Compatibilities

im guessing this card will end up being on even level with a tnt2ultra or maybe a geforce SDR card. nothing to get too excited about. it\'s a step-up from that virge crap.

#6, yeah we\'ve heard it. he was referring to fill rate obviously.
