Dungeon Siege 2 Expansion Coming

6

Despite the less than enthusiastic reception of the game here on the Shack, it looks like Dungeon Siege 2 was pretty succesful as an expansion pack is in the works according to a recent Gas Powered Games newsletter. Company founder Chris Taylor mentions that the expansion pack is one of "many unannounced projects in development" at the company. Thanks GameCloud.

IMHO who cares... this game was the biggest let down of the year for me.

Agreed. Did DS2 even sell well? Fans of the first one hated it and it didn't seem to be diablo enough to win over the unwashed masses

I think DS or DSII would have done a lot better as console titles. DS2 sold semi ok for a PC title, but I think this fast expansion is a stab at trying to just break even on dev/marketing costs. Supreme commander will probably be their first financial success and becomes their core IP.
