    i think this $600 system is alot better then that bs econobox they put togther.

      half the ram, an inferior cpu and socket, 1/3rd the hd space, but a much better video card.
      for an econobox, the 6600 would be plenty.

      arstechnica does a systems guide, 3 different system and they are updated quite frequently.

      Only half a gig of memory, an obsolete CPU socket, a 14 month old Sempron, and a fricking 80GB hard drive? What the hell are you thinking?

      i meant to say 512x2. with the money saved by giong with the sempron and using it to buy a video card i can play games now for $600. instead of waiting for future upgrades to buy a video card, which defeats the purpost of making a budget box.

        No. The purpose of a budget box is both for value and for future-proofness. Spending an extra $50-100 on a 939 CPU/Mobo could save save you a new motherboard when upgrade time comes while also being faster now.
