Elevation To Acquire Lionhead?
MCV is reporting that following the acquisition of BioWare and Pandemic Studios, investment firm Elevation might be set to buy Black & White developer Lionhead Studios. Apparently Elevation has some $2 billion to spend and is looking for additional takeovers or investments. Lionhead's value is estimated to be between 87 and 140 million dollars. The story also mentions that Firaxis' acquisition by Take 2, announced earlier this week, probably involved the exchange of about $50 million.

Fable sold quite well actually. It was definitely already at 1.4M sales in January, sold the most copies of any Xbox game in its first week (obviously shattered by Halo 2 later), and was the only game in the top 50 overall bestsellers last year that was not a sequel or license. That last part is more depressing than encouraging, though.
