ATI Catalyst 5.9 Drivers Released

Owners of Radeon videocards should head over to the ATI website, where new Catalyst drivers are now available. Release notes should be available here, though at the moment that URL redirects to a "Unauthorized download" page. Thanks anthonybean.

5.8's gave me some problems, these don't seem very special. eh I'll stick with the 5.6's until I have to update...

  issues with what? i have issues with everything 5.6 and up so far. Mostly just with Battlefield 2. Textures break and go all funkadelic.

    Since I installed 5.8 with my Radeon 9800 Pro I have had nothing but problems - bf2 crashes, hl2/source issues - so much so that I haven't even tried to game in like a month (been busy otherwise anyway). Can't wait to try these.

      Hmm maybe that is my problem too. I have a 9800 pro and I've been getting bad stuttering in WH40K:DoW. I hope this fixes it.

  Hmmm...maybe this is my problem, too. I have artifacts and graphical corruption EVERYWHERE.
  
  That said, I tried reformatting, and not using any drivers, and I still had graphical corruption. And a little in DOS, too. :(

    I had something similar - I turned off Fast Writes (I did this in the CCC) and a reboot later everything was fixed.
