Asheron's Call 2 To Shut Down
This news post on the Asheron's Call 2 website announces that this MMORPG by Turbine is shutting down in December. According to Turbine CEO Jeffrey Anderson the game "has reached the point where it no longer makes sense to continue the service". Thanks Blues.

Yeah, the Legions expansion. In the words of one player on the AC2 forums:

It's beyond me how Turbine managed to get ahold of not only the D&D licenses but LOTR as well. From the look of the screenshots, I have a feeling both are going to bomb.
