Battlefield 2 Community Update; Patch Delay

There's a new community update on the Battlefield 2 website, covering the new Catalyst driver release, stats issues, additional ranked servers and the delay of the 1.03 patch.

Man, can't even keep a patch schedule. I had hoped they were beyond the inability to meet deadlines commen in unorganized software development environments.

I also like how they recommend all BF2 users get the ATI drivers, because all BF2 users use ATI hardware, roooiight.

  He was referring only to ATI users. Didn't see the nVidia logo on startup or on the box I suppose?

  Part of me wants to think that maybe EA is aware of just how badly they've dropped the ball with the release of one of their hottest franchises and how much face that they've lost as a result of it, and as such, this is what has prompted the delay.
  
  The rest of me thinks that this is just gross project mismanagement rearing its ugly head yet again.
