Europeans can finally join in on the fun, so here's another Battlefield 2 chat thread. I hear this game is kinda good.

I played some games last night on ashkies, and I would just like to say that playing with Shackers makes online gaming enjoyable again. It's that island in a sea of kids and hackers ready to ruin the expierence for you.

    Thanks.

Does teh Shack have European servers as well? Joining US servers makes Dutch baby Jesus cry.

I had no problems on ender.core.com playing from norway. Pings around 150 in-game normally, and the netcode works pretty good. I thought the ping was way lower :)

Agreed. I had a great time last night. Ashkies is my BF2 home :D

Had alot of fun on TheMelons server but I tried to get onto Ashkies and quickly lost interest in literally *hunting* for the server password. Would someone mind PMing me it?

That's odd. Every squad I played with heavily used VoIP. Join ashkies and look for 'Mics Only', they're a great bunch of guys to play with.

really? it was one of my worse nights i've had besides for a couple good rounds early on. The last two levels I played were absolutely fucken HORRID for infantry and if I actually made it to the site there was always a tank/apc or enemy chopper that ruined my fun. It was like we had to march across an open plain for 5 km only to be blown apart by a T-90. Then again, we didn't have open communications between the commander so I guess that makes sense. I was basically flying to random points since I had no directive from above. Tonight'll be better, I swears. GOGO UBERSQUAD

yah the last map before the server crashed was a mess b/c we had no commander, and little air support. The more I play, the more I realize how important a good commander is.....

I had a blast with you guys last night (I was rabidpufferfish), was a lot of fun.

Having mics really helps, IMO, since it was nice having you as squad leader tell us where to go, that a tank was about to run me over, etc....

I was a squad leader while you were commander, I apologize for not communicating to you much (although I was talking up a storm with my squad). The reason was, though, that you weren't issuing consistant orders so I thought you might be asleep at the wheel. In fact none of the matches I played last night had communicative commanders. I think everyone's still a little timid with the big new maps, new strats, etc.
