Gamecloud - How does the new ammo penetration in the game affect how players operate on the battlefield?

Ben Smith - Basically, certain materials are penetrable to gun fire, meaning you can shoot players through a wind shield with most weapons or even penetrate the bullet-proof glass of an attack helicopter cockpit with a high caliber round. There are also tin-sided fences that players can be shot through (assuming you know that they are lurking behind).

The *unlockable* sniper rifle does that.

Excellent - nothing like sniping a slow mover pilot as you lay in wait on the hillside :)

Brings back days of Tribes 1 with the laser rifle and sniping the pilot on the transport - (course then I would hop in and lift all the enemy heavies on board way WAY off to the side of the map :) )

I'm worried about the sniper rifle now there's no drift. Not up for a rail gun.

I read about that too, but I also saw a video from the game of someone sniping and though there was little or no drift of the scope with each shot, it still too a couple hits for him to get kills, not as easy as the Quake rail gun.

I know as soon as I get the sniper rifle people are going down, quick. I was damn good in CS which I would have to say is a little more tense knowing that you have to wait until the next round if you die. I know I am going to make someone's online time miserable.
