Not sure I like the ghostbuster style streaming weapons, seems to be very little aiming involved when using them.
I know that's to be expected a bit but in the video they seemed to be locked onto a target even when you weren't facing it.-
its actually not supposed to be strictly twitch/skilled based shooting. The devs said to think of the weapons as more of a spell casting tool than a gun where aiming won't be the single determinant of whether you hit your target or not.
Theres more to it, no doubt I'm fucking up the description some but thats the basic idea.-
As a FPS nut, I'd prefer that my own skill determine whether or not I hit, after all, if there's a cluster of monsters, how does the game know which one I'm aiming for?
I understand why they're designing it the way they are, I just kind of wish there'd be a Skill (PC) option alongside the Auto Aim (console) version. but I'll have to wait to play it to judge it obviously.-
I played this for about an hour at E3 its still pretty early in development so a lot of the play machanics could still change but the was everybody is describing it as the next Diablo but 3RD/First person is pretty accurate. There are some skill elements involved but less so than a normal fps. I actually think they are going to fill this game with so many hordes of zombies that playing it like a conventiional FPS would be out of the question. What you get is more like a hack and slash but with guns and futuristic swords and such.
The stream weapons do lock on but I'm also assuming they do less/different amount of damage than the other weapons. Also like I said before the weapon might not be perfected yet so who knows how they will act in the end game.
Also the game reminded me of fallout a lot for some reason. I cant wait to play it.-

Serious Sam/Painkiller would disagree with you. Obviously that would change the flavor of the game dramatically. Hopefully they do a early on beta like Q3 did... early enough so that they can get some feedback and make changes if necessary, not like BF 2 where the game will be on shelves 2 weeks after the dem o hits, which means the game will hoave to go gold probably before the demo is released.
