E3 2005: Day Two Game Impressions

Another day, another set of impressions! Actually, I still have plenty to write about day one but a few distractions last night prevented me from doing as much as I wanted. I'll continue throughout tonight to bring you more details on the games you want to hear about. Tonight, I'm starting with what may be the most important title for the Xbox 360.     Great write up (Quake 4 and Prey sound amazing).... Do you guys think with graphics getting so much more advanced (Not so much with Quake 4 or Prey, mainly Gears of War) this generation we will see the average length of games significantly drop? Models, levels, special effects will all take a lot longer to produce...

      hopefully, middleware like speedtree will help facilitate efficient development cycles. But, yeah, I wonder about this myself.

      I think once we hit the point that games genuinely look as good as movies, they'll also be about that long.
