Namco Announces New RTS for DS
[ds]Namco Hometek announced a new real-time strategy title for the Nintendo DS called Shogun Warrior: The Lost Army. Thanks to its touch screen and use of a stylus, the DS is the new platform of choice of RTS games and Namco realizes this. The game centers around two brothers in feudal Japan who are battling over control of the country. Both land and naval battles will be featured. Shogun Warrior will support up to eight players via wireless multiplayer.

Sean Connery Reprising Bond Role
[ps2] [xbox] [gcn]TeamXbox discovered via The Hollywood Reporter that Sean Connery has agreed to lend his voice and likeness to the new James Bond title from Electronic Arts based on the series second flick, From Russia with Love. Connery said to the magazine, "As an artist, I see this as another way to explore the creative process. Video games are an extremely popular form of entertainment today, and I am looking forward to seeing how it all fits together."

Majesco Secures Aeon Flux Rights
[ps2] [xbox]Majesco revealed that they have nabbed the publishing rights to the Aeon Flux videogame set for release on the Xbox and PS2. Terminal Reality, the same studio behind the BloodRayne series, is heading up the development and will be able to use the full likeness of the star of the movie, Charlize Theron. The PR describes the movie as "set 400 years in the future, when disease has wiped out the majority of the earth's population except for one walled, protected city-state, Bregna, ruled by a congress of scientists." Theron's character, Aeon Flux, is an assassin for an underground rebellion sent to kill the government leader. It will release when the movie hits the theaters later this year.
