Is there anyway to get 5.1 sound support? I have to say the sound menu was disappointing, with only a volume slider. WTH is up with that?
Also, is there a way to direct connect to an IP or launch MP thru ASE? Or are we stuck with the crappy UBI.com server browser? I've had 2 total pc lock-ups while browsing for servers and trying to connect to a game. Alt-F4 didnt release me, ctrl-alt-del didn't reboot, my only way out was a power off. Anyone else freezing up so often while using that superior UBI.com built in browser?-

Turning EAX and 3DSound on, i.e. True, kind of works. It's not perfect, but it's improved. You'll have to play with it. Try turning one or the other on at a time. Try changing the version of EAX and increasing the channels. Just try things.
Also, be sure to make the .ini file read-only when you're done or the game will undo your changes.
As for the IP thing - I have no idea.
