Another Tabulu Rasa Delay
MMO publisher NCSoft announced financial results ($77 million profit on $246 million in revenues in 2004) today, as well as release plans for fiscal 2005 but one game not appearing on that list is Tabulu Rasa. The Richard Garriot MMORPG has been delayed a few times already, and an NCSoft spokesperson confirmed its likely the game wont see the light of day until 2006 now.

Since I haven't really kept track... What key features of Tabula Rasa might make it worth checking out? The fact that Richard Garriot is part of the development doesn't count. ;)

Afaik, the whole reason it's supposed to be great is related to its name. That is to say, it's a blank slate in the sense that they've thrown out all the standard MMO conventions and then only taken back the ones that made sense and thrown a bunch of new stuff in there, with the aim of making it pretty fresh and revolutionary.
I dunno what this has ended up meaning in terms of actual features though, except for Garriott talking about upping the experiential density of the game compared to normal MMOs - ie less strolling around getting bored and more cool stuff happening. -
