    /clap Sony
    /sigh

This is precisely what Guild Wars will be doing for it's online world, however they won't be raping their customers with a monthly fee. Granted, the expansions probably won't be $4.99, but you sure as hell won't have to shell out $15/month.

    What a load of crap.

CoH gave this same bologna to their customers for free.

Yeah, that's what I first thought when I read that. They're charging a monthly fee and now they wanna charge EXTRA for more content?!?!? WTF are your monthly dues for then!??!

Not like those EQ junkies won't buy it but still... kinda insane if you ask me.

Usually the monthly fees cover bandwidth, servers, and ongoing support. I'm interested to see how the Guild Wars business model fares. Thing is, people will still pay for additional content. They'll bitch and moan and then pay for it.

you did it too .... it has always been for some extra content too (the monthly fee that is), this is a first for charging for basically any and all extra content.

That's not true their still giving out just as much normal extra content as any other mmorpg i've been in maybe more in fact.

Right....More like Diablo.....Diablo played in an online world, on a server in another state, with massively multiplayer environments.....right.....just like Diablo.

Package it how you want it, GW is more of a MMO than anything else. I've played 3 Beta Events now and have had the thing pre-ordered for a couple months -- I've played it, it's an MMO.
