Blizzard's World of Warcraft support page has been updated with a tool allowing people to customize the User Interface. There's a help guide available here.

If you aren't familiar with XML, this tool is useless.

Just get Cosmos UI www.cosmosui.org - you'll never play without it.

I've switched over to gypsy mod from cosmos. Found cosmos too bloated and just wanted a simpler interface. Yes, I know you can turn stuff off in cosmos, but its a pain.

The new ui stuff they are planning (blizzard) should make life a hell of a lot easier though.

i did the same a while ago.

all i need now is a sidebar and maybe a quest minion in gyspy.

don't need any of that other stuff cosmos offers. all that crap bogs my puny system down.

If you want the side bar stuff from cosmos, just download the latest cosmos_alpha zip, open it in WinZIP/WinRAR, navigate to Interface/AddOns then just copy the SideBar folder into the Interface/AddOns folder in your WoW directory.

I took the telo standalone sidebar (24 buttons, right side, movable) and modified it to better fit my setup. 8 button, left side, movable. The xml/lua stuff is pretty simple to modify.

Or try CTMod. I use and love it.

CTMod has issues since the last patch tho. I get the odd pop-up when I use a certain combination of skills.
