Sunday Afternoon ShackReviews

Finally, a ShackReviews update that won't take me a century to finish. With Black Friday behind us, we won't see another week like the last one where you have to make hard choices on where to throw your money. However, that doesn't mean there's nothing left to be released. Take this week for example; big games from both large and small companies. Don't send that Christmas list to Santa just yet; there's more fun to be had! As always, if there's a game you want in the database, see if it's already there and if not, request it! Featured ShackReviews:

If you missed it on Friday, here are my impressions of the Nintendo DS. The handheld dominated my gaming habit this week since I spent three days down south visiting family for Thanksgiving. When I returned on Friday, I marched over to a friend's place and tried out the wireless features and had some fun with Super Mario 64 DS' battle mode. It felt neat being able to leap out of my chair and pump my fists in victory and not having to worry about ripping out a cable. I creamed him ten rounds to three. I rule.

Yay! Chessmaster for Xbox... Now Jason will be happy! :P

Also, bring on some NDS game reviews already! I'm still not sure what to buy as a first game... Metroid? Or Mario? Or something else? Hmm... Isn't Metroid: hunters out yet? Or is it the only launch title not added to the database?

Metroid won't be out till next year. I'd say the only two games worth a purchase are Mario 64 and Feel the Magic. Mario 64 will give you much more to do, especially in the wireless department. It's also packed with a ton of mini-games.

        I see...

I think I'm going to get Mario. The original game kicked ass, but I just can't get myself to plug the N64 back in to play it more... This'll be a good chance to play it again and perhaps get all stars this time. I don't think I'm gonna get much lovin' outta the wireless though because my few gaming friends doesn't seem to feel a need to replace their GBA SP with the NDS. =/

Feel the magic sounds like a Wario ware type of game... Might be fun, but I dunno if it'll be on the top of my list. ;)

Thanks for the insight though! :)

Yeah, now I need to get off my butt and actually write a review of it.

      Short version: it ROCKS.

Hmm... Chessmaster for DS, with wireless multiplayer. Now that would rock.
