Late Night Consoling

I'd like to address what appears to be a popular rumor today. Earlier today, the big news of the day was that Tekken 5 would land on all three major consoles. As it currently stands, Tekken 5 is still exclusive to the PS2. If I have my information current, it appears GameFront originally posted the news, citing Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu as the source. Most sites ran with it, including big-name places like 1up, but after further review, it seems that Famitsu never even mentioned a version for the Xbox or GameCube. GamerFeed corroborates the new finding after speaking to a Namco Hometek rep who said the PS2 is the only platform that'll see the game. If a Japanese Shacker with access to a copy of Famitsu would like to rise up and confirm/deny this once and for all *looks at beebeecee*, it'd be nice. =D

Xbox Halo 2 Receives an Update Over Live In an effort to address some problems plaguing the release of Halo 2, Bungie has released a mandatory update for the mega-seller over Xbox Live. Effectively a patch, the download mainly fixes three issues: unusually long wait times for matchmaking, zoomed in imagery when in 480p mode, and the unlocking of the secret multiplayer map, Foundation. Another update may be released soon to change around the playlists.
Xbox Chronicles of Riddick Sequel in the Works The man whose voice and likeness is the focal point of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Vin Diesel, let slip in a recent interview with comingsoon.net that a sequel is in the works for the surprisingly successful Xbox game. He didn't add anything to that comment, but he was adamant that the series is constantly expanding and work is always being done to create something new.
GCN N64 Adapter for GameCube? If you check out the Player's Poll on the frontpage of Nintendo's website, an interesting question appears:"What level of interest do you have, and how much would you pay for an adapter that allowed you to play N64 cartridges on the Nintendo GameCube?" Three of the five choices list possible prices of $39, $49, and $59. One can assume that if there's a positive enough reaction, this may be a new peripheral released down the road.
Xbox Pulp Fiction Writer Suing Microsoft In other fitness and/or lawsuit news, a writer of the critically-acclaimed film Pulp Fiction, Roger Avary, is suing Microsoft Game Studios, claiming the company stole his idea for a yoga-based videogame. The game in question, Yourself!Fitness, is developed by responDESIGN. Avary claims he approached Microsoft about a game that taught players the different positions of yoga, saying he met with executives on multiple occasions. ResponDESIGN answered back, saying that the idea was created independently and conceived prior to the dates Avary said he met with Microsoft.
PS2 EyeToy Fitness Game Revealed Sony announced "an innovative new physical exercise title" that they are producing with the help of Nike Motionworks. Called EyeToy: Kinetic, it's designed to improve the physical fitness of gamers, hoping to improve posture, balance, and breathing, among other things. The game will come included with a wide-angle lens attachment for the EyeToy, which "allows for increased levels of interactivity projecting the exerciser's image onto the television screen, enabling them to physically interact with their environments." It's currently planned for release early 2005.

It was actually Steve who had the idea for it, but sold it to Microsoft for $10,000,000. That's how he was able to hire me.
