Uh oh, look at what game appears to be in some stores across the country! Never once in my life have I been able to secure a game before its release date. Since I live Florida, usually we're the last to receive the packages (in the continental states), so as I make phone call rounds, I get a stiff resistance. "THOSE ARE RUMORS ON THE INTERNETS! STILL COMES OUT TUESDAY!"
Xbox Live Arcade Launches Microsoft announced that their Xbox Live Arcade service has now been launched. This is a service where gamers can download games that have a broad appeal, such as Bejewelled and Ms. Pac Man as well as many card and billiard games. The prices range form $9.99 to $19.99, but if you access the service now, Ms. Pac Man is currently free. | |
Capcom Expanding Role in Movie Business Pleased with the financial success of the two Resident Evil movies, the company is looking to do more with movie licenses. For instance, it already has in plans an animated feature of Mega Man Network and a live action film of Onimusha, but now it's looking at taking Devil May Cry to the silver screen. The company is also interested in developing games that give backstory to successful movie franchises. | |
Atari Unveils 4 New Dragon Ball Titles If you're a fan of the series, this must be music to your ears. Atari announced that they will be releasing four new Dragon Ball titles throughout the next year. In the spring, expect Dragon Ball Z: Sagas, an action/adventure game that has a cooperative gameplay component to it. It will be followed up by Dragon Ball GT: Transformation, a similar title for the GBA. Two other games will hit near the end of year, one of each of the Z and GT universe. | |
Latest GBA Klonoa Coming to US Two years after its release in Japan, the second GBA Klonoa game is finally coming to the United States. It'll appear under the title Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament, the game features action-oriented gameplay mixed with puzzles. Expect the game in February of next year. | |
