Brothers In Arms 2 Planned
Computer & Video Games is reporting that Gearbox Software is already doing some preliminary work on Brothers in Arms 2. Military advisor Colonel John Antal mentioned recreating more of Sgt. Matt Baker's WW2 experiences, with Operation Market Garden and Battle of the Bulge as possible events in the sequel.

replyIndustry insiders seem to be really really excited about this game. Especially those who have played it. I personally can not wait for a non scripted out the wazoo ww2 game. Anyone know the release date? is it jan or feb? I wanna reserve it but not too too early :)

Feb 25, 2005 is what I've seen listed as a release date.

I don't count as industry insider, but I can see why they're excited - similarly to Valve, Gearbox are really trying to experiment with new ground in terms of narrative in games with this title.
Since so few people seem prepared to tread any new ground at the moment it's great that someone is standing up for progress.
