Late Night Consoling
So we all know this week definitely belongs to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but as sites begin to wane in their GTA:SA coverage and put out reviews of the other releases this week, we can start to see that this appears to be a particularly strong week for gaming. IGN heralds Dead or Alive Ultimate as the best fighter on the Xbox. According to GameRankings, GMR Magazine gave a perfect score of 10 out of 10 to Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. Even Taiko Drum Master is passing muster with a 4.5/5.0 at GameSpy. A little something for everyone, eh?
DOOM 3 Gets Tentatively Dated Xbox gamers that are still waiting for their port of DOOM 3 and hoping for a winter release can stop holding their breath. In a conference call today, Activision president Ron Doornink said to expect the game by the end of March. However, even then, that's not a solid date as id software has the final say if the game is ready to go or not and they can push it back even further. | |
Batman Begins Game Announced Electronic Arts announced today that they are preparing a game based on the upcoming Batman Begins film. Its release will coincide with that of the film's and will land on nearly all consoles: GameCube, PS2, Xbox, PSP, and the Game Boy Advance. UK company Eurocom will be the developers of the title on the consoles and Vicarious Visions for the portable versions. | |
