Newsarama has an article format Q&A with Paul Chadwick, asking the comic book writer about his story work on Monolith's The Matrix Online. Thanks HomeLAN Fed.

Paul Chadwick's working on TMO? That's a tragedy of huge proportions. Talk about wasted talent.

I have no idea who he is, but if he's good shouldn't you be happy, or perhaps you don't think games should have good stories?

        Games, yes. MMOs? No.

Were this an RPG (an original one, not licensed) that'd be one thing.

I don't quite follow you. You don't think MMO's should have stories, nor should licensed games, or atleast not good ones? Mind you I haven't played any MMOs.

I have tried out a number of MMOs in the past, but they haven't had what I'm looking for. This one looks much more promising to me. This is chiefly due to the fact that it will probably have a story that is as rich and dense as those of the movies - a stark contrast to the two-dimensional nature of the stories (if they even exist) from all the other MMOs I've encountered. In those, they seem like quick justifications of the game world and why you are killing rats/spiders/whatever. In this, it would actually be the reason I'd be playing.
