Late Night Consoling
It just hit me today that we're less than a week away from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, about two weeks away from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and a month from Halo 2. Amazingly strong titles for each console. I know there are plenty of you out there that have one console and stick with it, but for guy's like me that must have 'em all, what a hellacious month this is going to be. It feels like I must make sure I focus intently on each title, managing my time effectively so I can move seamlessly from one to the next. I need more time in the day to just relax and play videogames. =(
TOCA 2 to be Bundled with Colin '04 If you're interested in picking up TOCA Race Driver 2 this week, you're in luck. The new racing simulator will now be bundled with a free copy of Colin McRae Rally 04. Not a bad deal for $29.99. "For an incredible value, fans can now own two white-knuckle, hair-raising racing titles," commented Marc Bennett, North American president of Codemasters.
FIFA Street It was only a matter of time before EA's successful Street franchise took on another sport. Electronic Arts announced today FIFA Street, bringing arcade action to the game of soccer. It will be developed by EA Canada, the same group that handles the FIFA series, and will sport 4-on-4 "extreme soccer" action. The game will ship sometime next year for all three major consoles.
Bungie Weekly Update? Kids, I have some bad news. You better sit down for this. Are you seated? Okay. There isn't an update this week. HOLD ON, SETTLE! They aren't leaving us high and dry. Some video and webmastering errors are to blame. Frankie and the crew had planned a video update, showing off the office and the drunken celebration of a completed Halo 2. To make up for it, they decided to share a NEW SCREENSHOT OF HALO 2. Check back Monday for that video.
Metroid Prime 2 Pre-order Bonus If you just can't get enough Metroid in your life and you consistently wish you had an awesome Metroid t-shirt to wear, then I have something to tell you! Right now, if you pre-order Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, you will get a free t-shirt. The shirt has on the front a Samus name tag and on the back, a bounty hunter logo. The promotion starts October 11th, but Game Informer says many stores have been giving away shirts for about a week now.
