VIA K8T890 Chipsets preview

HardOCP has taken a very early look at upcoming VIA K8T890 chipsets, which will finally bring PCI-Express support to the AMD Athlon 64 platform when it is used on motherboards in a few months.

    Hehe... [H] is a bit too eager to use negations here:

    PCI-Express is also going to be the standard in the industry and if you are looking for a long-term upgrade, you would likely be foolish to not purchase a motherboard without this technology.

    So to not be foolish I should buy a card with the technology. Does [H] think PCI-Express is gonna flop or did the author make it to complicated for themselves? ;)

      I'm not biting; I already have the 2500+ Barton special that so many people jumped on last year, along with a GF 6800, so I'm set for at least another year. By then, hopefully, PCI-E boards on AMD64-939 will have matured and become cheaper.
